How To Boost Your Website Traffic [3 Simple Steps]

Every month, many webmasters actually ask the search engines this question, "How to boost my website traffic". My post today seeks to answer this question.

When you're trying to get people to come to your website, you should know that there are really only two options: free or paid. Some people have a marketing budget, while others only have time.
If you have a budget, then you can pay for the traffic; if you can only invest your time, then you'll want to either attract or steal the traffic.
  • attracting the traffic
  • stealing the traffic
  • paying for the traffic
1. Attracting the traffic

For new webmasters this is one of the most difficult things to learn. The principle here is to deliver value. When you deliver value, people follow you, buy from you, etc.

On the contrary, those who struggle to be valuable, also struggle to develop a following, make money, etc.

What are some of the ways you can attract the traffic?
  • Blogging
  • Creating press releases
  • Forum presence
  • Facebook groups
  • Videos
  • Free reports
2. Stealing the traffic

The goal is to leverage or take advantage of what is currently present on other websites. Every site in your industry has a following.

How can I steal traffic from other sites?
  • Comment on industry relevant blogs
  • Joint Ventures with other webmasters (offer your reports or products as part of their launches)
3. Paying for the traffic

I've always taught that paid marketing is the quickest way to build your business. Just like everything, there's a learning curve. It will take a budget and some trial and error to perfect a paid marketing strategy for your business.

What are some of the paid strategies?
  • Google AdWords (PPC or pay per click)
  • Facebook PPC
  • Media buys (either text or banner ads on other site)
  • email marketing (leveraging other people's lists)
Conclusion

Decide whether you will build your business with time and sweat or with a marketing budget. With paid marketing, you'll see the traffic coming in much quicker. Keep in mind that the free strategies take consistent hard work.

If you work on your business daily and focus on income generating activities, it could take up to 90 days to begin seeing the traffic come in. It's important to create a daily action plan to make the most out of the next 90 days. To learn more about my daily action plan, click here.

If you apply my suggestions, you will see a boost in your website traffic. Comment below if you have any questions.
